Live In Housekeeper Sought For Role Based Between London and Hampshire

A live-in housekeeper/cook is required to care for the homes and meals of a friendly family of 4. The family split their time between west London and Hampshire, during the week both parents work full time and the children (aged 4 & 6 years old) attend school and have a full-time nanny.

The working hours would be from approximately 7am - 1pm with a long afternoon break then 6/6.30pm until 9pm (or occasionally later if babysitting) during the week, The family would like their housekeeper to work from Wednesday - Sunday.

The successful candidate will have Monday and Tuesday free. Weekend hours will be 9 hours per day starting from 7am.

The housekeeper's main responsibilities during the week will be to ensure the family's home in London is clean, neat and tidy as well as taking care of the family's laundry and preparing breakfast and dinner for the family.

On Fridays, the housekeeper will travel with the family to their country home in Hampshire. There is already a housekeeper based in the Hampshire home so the successful candidate will mainly be responsible for cooking meals at the weekend along with occasional babysitting and assisting with the children.

As there is a good deal of cooking involved a good cook is important. As is a child-friendly nature as there may be some babysitting/mother's help work involved occasionally.

In both locations the housekeeper's responsibilities will include answering the door and telephone, watering the plants, dealing with tradesmen, suppliers and contractors arranging dry cleaning and caring for the family's laundry.

The family do travel from time to time and would like their housekeeper to accompany them on 2/3 trips a year so a valid passport would be essential.

The family are happy to offer a salary of £450 - £550 npw dependent on the calibre of the candidate. They are also happy to provide a large double bedroom, separate bathroom and separate kitchen area for their housekeeper.
