Job Summary: Family in North London are looking for a very warm, loving nanny to take care of two school aged boys. The boys are living with their grandparents, they have recently lost their mother, and their father is not around. The boys are amazing and have a network of family supporting them. This is one of those jobs where you will really have the chance to make a difference in the lives of these two little boys as they adjust to their new life without their parents. Both children attend the same school, and although a driver is not essential a car is provided for you to use for work if you drive.
Extra information: The aunts and uncles and cousins all live close by and the family are very close; the children have a good support system in place.
Job specification:
Care of the boys daily
Taking and picking the children up from school
Preparing healthy nutritious meals for the children
Keeping their play area and toys organized. The grandparents will take care of their laundry
Assist with homework
Communicating with the family
Shopping for the children when needed
Making sure school bags are packed and ready for the next day
Planning activities, organizing playdates etc. for the boys after school and in the holidays
Candidate specification:
Experience with school aged children is required
Someone who is patient and shows empathy- this is a very sad time for the boys and the family, and although the boys are doing great they will need lots of love and understanding to help them navigate the new normal
Good English skills are a must to help with homework, liaising with teachers and communication with the aunts and uncles regarding the children
A good role model for the children, someone who is active and fun who will keep up with two boys
A driver would be a bonus but not essential
Must have proven longevity working with children, ideally in a live in role
Computer literate
Enhanced DBS and paediatric first aid check required at offer stage
Accommodation: Own bedroom and bathroom (shared with the boys) in the main home
Salary: up to £50,000 gross per annum dependent on your experience
