Looking for live-in or part-time care at home, specialist or general nursing, companionship or just a helping hand for tasks that are challenging? We provide private nursing and personal care at home where people are most comfortable, secure and able to lead their lives as normally as possible.

Live-In and Daily Personal Care

We are passionate about the quality of life, dignity of our clients and the benefits of caring for individuals at home

Live-in Care

Live-in care is a specialist and affordable alternative to residential care for those who need someone to be with them day and night.

People benefit from one to one bespoke care at home and the peace of mind that the familiarity of their surroundings and routine bring. For example it is a key element in caring for someone with a condition such as Dementia.

We take great care in pairing our clients with their Nurses or Carers. Our approach is ‘Person Centred’ and holistic to make sure their needs; physical, emotional and spiritual, are accounted for.

Each of our carers is highly skilled, discreet, sensitive, dedicated and passionate about caring.

Our Nurses and Carers are used to dealing with challenging and complex conditions.

Carers are supported by our management team 24/7

Our live-in care service can cover day to day management of personal and household tasks, trips out, cooking, companionship and shared activities.

Daily Care

Daily care visits can range from an hour to several hours, or a number of visits during the day.

Tasks range from personal care and medication reminders and administration, to managing day-to-day chores, cooking and shopping.

We can be there at waking up time to assist in bathing and dressing, and in the evening to help get ready for bed.

We will accompany our clients to doctor or hospital appointments, a trip to the hairdressers or theatre, read the newspaper, share a comforting cup of tea with a cheerful smile and a friendly chat.

Daily care is not restricted to the elderly, many of our clients are independent people that have just left hospital or are recovering from illness or injury.

Our services can be combined to suit the individual.

Post Operative Care

Live-in and Daily Care by a Registered Nurse or skilled Carer supports people after a stay in hospital allowing them to recover at home.

If you live alone you may not be able to call on the regular support of a relative or friend, and we can provide regular visits or 24 hour care.

Your operation or condition may continue to require the services of one of our clinically trained Registered Nurses to carry out procedures such as IV therapies, blood sampling or changing dressings.

You may only need personal care, washing and dressing or help with daily tasks.

We work with discharge teams, doctors and health professionals such as District Nurses and Occupational Therapists to manage rehabilitation programmes and ensure recovery.

We will advise on health and safety issues, nutrition, eating plans and exercise regimes.

Accident Care

If you've had an accident, where do you go if you are discharged from hospital but know that you will not be able to cope on your own at home? With live-in or daily care you will have the confidence to be able to return home.

Care for our clients ranges across many injuries from sporting and car accidents involving torn ligaments and broken limbs to more severe traumas such as spinal injuries.

Relatives and friends may not always be available or capable of looking after you, or you may not want them to take on certain tasks such as personal care.

You may just need help with daily tasks such as cooking, shopping or walking the dog.

We visit our patients at home and, if necessary, in hospital, to assess their needs and formulate a care programme to suit them.

We work with doctors and health professionals such as District Nurses, Physiotherapists or Occupational Therapists to manage rehabilitation programmes.

We can also organise home visits for physiotherapists, chiropodists, complimentary therapists, therapeutic services and even hairdressers if required.

Specialist Care

Our Registered Nurses and Carers have experience in supporting people with challenging and complex conditions, debilitating, degenerative and terminal illness.

Key to considering care for a complex condition such as Cancer, Dementia, Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s, is the first meeting at home with one of our Nurse Liaison Team.

Each situation is different. A personal care programme may start with occasional visits to check on medication or cook meals, and may progress to 24 hour live-in care over a period of time or palliative care. Whatever the life stage of our clients we will provide consistent care, and help and advise the individual and their family on the nature of care required as situations change.

Appointing the most suitable person, or people, for a long term care relationship is our primary concern from the outset.

We work alongside your doctors, consultants and social services.

Retaining a person’s sense of independence, peace of mind and security by remaining in familiar surroundings with a daily routine is proven to be beneficial in coping with many conditions.

We will do whatever we can to ensure companionship, comfort, self esteem and dignity are maintained for as long as possible, for every person in our care whatever their circumstances.

Support for Relatives is a lifeline run by Draycott Nursing and Care to support relatives and families caring for relatives or coping with changing circumstances and bereavement. Training days, talks and demonstrations are open to all carers not just our clients.

Tailored Care Programmes

Is Draycott Nursing & Care right for you?

We match our professional carers and clients very carefully - our approach is 'person centred'.

Our minimum visit time is one hour. We do not believe that visits of less time are beneficial to our clients.

Initially, one of our Nurse Liaison team visits each person to match the personality of client to carer taking into account physical, emotional and spiritual aspects.

Each individual will then receive a Care Plan tailored to their specific requirements.

All of our Nurses and Carers undergo a rigorous interview process and psychometric testing to make sure they meet our standards. Once they pass this stage of the process, they then go on to a 5-day induction course which forms part of the whole interview process. If they successfully pass this induction, we would then appoint them as a member of the Draycott staff and start a ‘live’ assessment process. Once our staff are paired with a client they are fully supported 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and monitored during their placements. Care Managers are available to deal with emergencies 24 hours a day.

We work alongside organisations such as Macmillan Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Dementia Ukand Admiral Nurses.

We also work closely with District Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists.
