Location: Based in Mortimer Nr Reading, Berkshire
Salary: Circa £400 – £450 net pw for Live-In position.
Hours: 10 hours a day, 5 days a week Monday to Friday plus occasional babysitting. Hours by arrangement.
Holidays: 20 days plus bank holidays

Housekeeper/Nanny required to help maintain the family home for a lovely friendly family based near Reading in Berkshire. They are moving to a new 6 bedroom house as soon as it is completed in a few weeks time.
The two eldest girls (ages 6 and 10) attend school Monday to Friday and the youngest girl aged 4 will start full time school in September. She currently attends nursery twice a week with her brother age 2.5 years. This role has the onus on housekeeping but includes the responsibility for all Nanny duties related to the children except for cooking.
The Housekeeper/Nanny will work alongside a lovely friendly Live-In Cook/Housekeeper who takes care of providing all the meals for the family and who assists with housekeeping duties. On her day off you will heat up the meals provided and/or prepare a light lunch. On Mondays and Tuesdays all the children are at school so the focus is on fulfilling the housekeeping tasks for the family.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a highly flexible person with good initiative and experience They must be fit and energetic, happy to take on all tasks with an agreeable, flexible nature and have a ‘muck right in’ attitude. The candidate should be a good communicator, a team player, happy to travel abroad on occasion with the family and be a confident driver and swimmer (as the new family home will have a swimming pool).
Responsibilities to include:
Cleaning of the interior of the homes and the immediate areas outside (patios, porches walks)
Kitchen maintenance – dishes, cupboards, pantry counters and floors
All laundry (clothing and household linens), ironing/general clothes and linen care
Bed making, routine bedding and linen changes
Some basic meal prep when the cook is away
Shopping and other household errands
Basic household bookkeeping
All Nanny duties to include caring for and nurturing the children emotionally, mentally and physically.
Providing a safe and stimulating environment for the children at all times.
Supporting their social skills development e.g. by arranging and accompanying the children on play dates with their friends and various other activities.
Assisting with overseas travel with the Family and children where necessary – a couple of times a year maximum.
Liaising with family on every aspect of the child’s care.
Driving the children to and from school and extra-curricular activities.
You will be responsible for caring for the children’s clothes, including laundering and ironing, sewing and mending and purchasing new clothes, shoes, uniform etc., as necessary.

Candidate must be a confident driver and a confident swimmer.
No alcohol to be consumed whilst on duty.
Non smoker.
Will travel with family on occasion – maximum a couple of times a year.
Full clean UK driving licence.
Current DBS check essential.
