Care at home

Live-in Care Services in Liverpool

Caring isn't just our profession, it's our passion. Imagine the relief of having a care worker helping you or your loved one to live at home for as long as possible. That's what all of our customers enjoy every day through our 24 hour care at home service. Companionship and support

Many people require companionship and help with the little things rather than round-the-clock care, but don’t like to mention it to friends and family as they don’t wish to be a burden. We pride ourselves on finding compatible companions who can help make life just that little bit easier at home.

A friend at home

We all want to stay in our own homes for as long as possible but coping with regular activities like shopping, cleaning or cooking can become a concern. Having a live-in care worker for companionship and support means you or your loved one have someone to call on, and everyone can rest easy knowing that help is always at hand.

We propose a care worker based on our clients’ interests, personality and lifestyle so you and your care worker are a suitable fit. This allows our clients to continue to live at home with ease and enjoy everyday life. You can keep the same companion for up to three months at a time before another care worker will be proposed. Your original care worker may return for an additional period.

A companion care worker won’t take over your home, they are simply there to make life easier.

For example, they can plan and prepare meals or simply help with cooking-related tasks – it’s your choice how involved they get. Our clients will never be lonely, but can also take some “me” time whenever they wish.

Live-in home care

What if you or your loved one’s care needs don’t fit neatly in to a box? We understand everyone is different and that’s why we never try to fit our clients into a pre-determined care service package. Every customer receives a personalised care plan because we spend time assessing their needs and regularly update those assessments so that changes can be made as and when they are needed.

Home care is the personal touch in familiar surroundings

Our personalised care service provides one-to-one support that you simply can’t get in a care home.

Our dedicated, live-in companions ensure you can maintain your normal routines and lifestyle – it truly is personalized live-in home care.

Because everyone is different, each of our clients receives a personalised care plan. We then provide a shortlist of highly trained carers who have been matched to you on personality, lifestyle, hobbies and interests as well as any specific care needs. This same carer will stay with you for up to three months at a time before they take a break and will alternate with another carer, selected by you, who is just as suitable as the first.

It’s so important to us that our clients are able to retain as much independence as possible even as their personal care needs grow. Living at home minimises the stress and pressure that people can often feel when health or circumstances change. Our home care helps to maintain a sense of balance with your surroundings and personal possessions exactly as they have always been and preserves the option to be a part of your local community whenever you wish.

Person-centred care brings you into the decision-making process for your own health and wellbeing. Our clients are always treated with dignity, compassion and respect, but we want to do even more than that. That’s why we work collaboratively with you so that you can enjoy your life at home in the best possible health.

24 hour live-in care is not a new concept; it’s been preserving people’s independence for years throughout England. Our care workers move into a spare room at your home and live with you as your companion and assist with everyday tasks like cooking, cleaning and personal care. That way, you continue to live your life exactly how you choose and keep doing the things you love. Our care workers also support those with more advanced needs, so families can be confident their loved ones are safe, comfortable and getting the most out of life.

The need for 24 hour live-in care can arise at any time. Old age, illness, physical and mental disabilities – people can need support for many reasons and for varying lengths of time. If you find yourself needing extra support around the home or have a need for urgent care, were here to help. Our quick and simple process means we can place a care worker in the home in as little as three to five days from your in-home assessment. Here’s how our simple process for arranging 24 hour live-in care works…

Why choose live-in care

One of the main benefits of live-in care is that it helps our clients to retain as much independence and dignity as possible whilst safely receiving an individual service, tailored to their specific needs.

More benefits of live-in care

But have you thought about all the other ways in which live-in care benefits you or your loved ones?

Protecting homes and possessions

Through our live-in care services, our clients are able to maintain ownership of their homes as well as their personal belongings, which they are often prevented from doing so when moved into residential care homes.

Giving a choice

In a recent study, 70% of elderly people said they would rather be cared for at home than go into a care home. A huge benefit of live-in care is that it empowers the elderly and vulnerable with a choice; a choice about where and how they care cared for.

Beating loneliness

We know that no matter how much you’d like to be, you can’t always be there as company for you loved one. If they find getting out and about a bit of a struggle, it’s likely they will experience loneliness and feelings of isolation at home. The companionship offered by our live-in care workers helps to alleviate loneliness so often felt by clients.

Helping couples

Through our live-in care services, we enable elderly couples to stay together for longer in the homes that they know and love. Why should old age or illness force people out of their homes? We help keep friends and families near to one another and keep people near to the communities that they love.

So, why choose live-in care for you or your loved one? We have an increasingly positive impact on both our clients and their families, whose stress is removed by our attentive, live-in care. The difference we make in people’s lives continues to reinforce our core value; there is no place like home.

What is live-in care?

Live-in care means that a care worker lives in your home with you, full time. Because they live with you, a live-in care worker can provide one-to-one, truly personalised care in the comfort of your own home. Our live-in carers help to preserve your lifestyle so that you can remain as independent and active as you like. Our care workers will help you with things like cooking, cleaning, gardening, shopping and socialising. They’ll help with morning and night-time routines, meaning that you can plan out your days exactly how you choose to. A live-in care worker can provide companionship and because you keep the same care worker for months at a time, you build a genuine friendship. Live-in care workers are highly trained to support you with more advanced conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s and stroke recovery.

How much does live-in care cost?

Our live-in care is totally personalised to yours or your loved one’s needs. We don’t have a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to care and so costs are dependent on things like the level of support and the number of carers needed.

A typical example of a simple companionship package is £695 per week.

We are always on the look-out for exceptional people to join our team.

You can apply for any of our current vacancies listed below, or if you’re simply interested in working as part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team, please send your CV to our friendly team at careers@promedica24.co.uk

Part-time Carer

Are you caring, enthusiastic and have previous care experience?

At Promedica24, we are looking for experienced part-time carers (preferably qualified to NVQ level 3) to support our live-in carers for 2-3 days per week.

Our live-in care workers help elderly and vulnerable adults to retain as much independence and dignity as possible from the comfort of their own home. Tasks vary from helping with cooking and shopping, to assisting with washing and dressing. Many of our clients require assistance due to conditions such as dementia, stroke, cancer or Parkinson’s, while others have suffered an injury or are simply looking for companionship and to enjoy their later years without the hassle of daily tasks.

The part-time care worker will be there to support the live-in carer when the contract first starts. This means that you will work closely with the live-in care worker to help them settle in and understand the client’s needs. You will not be expected to work anti-social hours, as this role is to support during a typical working day, and just provide an extra pair of helping hands.

You may sometimes be responsible for covering changeovers between live-in care workers and very occasionally for emergency support.

Promedica24 provides full in-depth training and a 24 hour support phone line.

Your time travelling to a client will be paid, and you will receive a mileage rate for the distance covered.

To apply for this role, please send a CV and covering letter to careers@promedica24.co.uk with the subject line: Carer Application
