Private English language lessons: IELTS / visa / academic service from experienced teacher / tutor

I am a 38 year old native speaker English language teacher based in London and Oxford.

I specialise in working one-to-one with clients in order to improve their English language skills in the fastest time possible.

I have been teaching English to all ages and many nationalities for nearly twenty years. I have taught English language (also Philosophy and Literature) in private language schools, sixth-form (government) colleges, universities including Oxford and the University of London, the British Council, and for private clients in the UK and abroad.

I currently available to work with clients in London and Oxford.

Whatever your level, I can help you with your English language needs.

For example, I can:

- develop your conversation abilities

- perfect your pronunciation

- improve your reading and writing in English for business or study

- help you prepare for UK visa tests (ILR, naturalisation) including the "Life in the UK" test

If you are studying I can:

- prepare you for success in the IELTS exam as quickly as possible

- help you to research and write your essays

- prepare you for seminars and presentations

As well as the standard (CELTA) and advanced (DELTA) English teaching qualifications, I have a BA in English, an MA in Linguistics, and an MA in Critical Methodologies. I also have a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, which is the officially recognised qualification to teach in UK schools and colleges.

I understand how important it is for you to become an expert user of English as quickly as possible. My students improve their English quickly because I provide a personally tailored service and use techniques that I have developed working with busy people who need the fastest possible progress.

I usually meet students for lessons in their home or workplace and I also undertake small group teaching if required. My rates for individual tuition at the client's location are in the region of £60 per hour, depending on the time, regularity and location of classes (please contact me for writing, corporate and overseas rates).
