Travelling Housekeeper/Nanny, Kensington + Zurich & Germany

TRAVELLING HOUSEKEEPER/NANNY,

KENSINGTON, NW LONDON + ZURICH & GERMANY

Working for a friendly and welcoming Principal you will care for his 3.5 year old daughter and manage his three bedroom apartment. You will be required to travel to Zurich and sometimes Germany up to twice per month. This is a varied and rewarding role and requires strong initiative and flexibility.

The role will involve general housekeeping, laundry, ironing, running errands and caring for the child after collecting her from nursery at 4pm. You need to develop a friendly relationship with her, assist with home learning, supervise and accompany her to activities and contributing positively to her development. You will also prepare school clothes, assist with bath and bed time and occasionally babysit.

The Principal likes to cook himself but you will be expected to assist in the kitchen and cook occasional healthy, family based meals for the family.

You must be able to follow instructions and direction in a respectable manner, be discrete and be prepared to ‘muck in’ when required.

Salary Negotiable

Hours: 2pm – 8pm (flexible) Monday to Friday plus travel (Zurich & Germany)

Start date: ASAP

Live In/Out: Live out in London, Live in for Zurich & Germany

Accommodation: N/A in London, separate bedroom & bathroom within property in Zurich & separate accommodation in Germany

Requirements:

3+ years’ relevant experience

Strong relevant experience with similar age children

Sole charge and shared care experience

Proven knowledge and experience of EYFS teaching

Ability to discipline and command the respect of the child in a friendly yet firm manner

Excellent cleaner, ironer and laundress

Basic cooking skills

Able to follow instructions well

Pleasant, fun personality, honest, flexible with a good attitude

Reliable, good initiative and time management skills

Flexibility to work core hours but be adaptable to a busy family life and travelling requirements

Happy to travel– British or EU passport preferred for ease of travel with family

Current DBS check or willing to undertake one

Excellent contactable references

Fluent spoken and written English. Any Arabic language skills are a bonus and the daughter speaks German also

Driver not required
