Butler / Houseperson / Driver Sought for Principal in Weybridge

A single principal based in Weybridge, Surrey, KT13 are looking for a Houseperson / Butler/ Driver to join their family home.  You should have a full driving licence.

Package Offered

Between £35,000 - £38,000 gross per year depending on experience.
An option for the right person to live in in private room with separate entrance on the grounds.  This would only be offered for the most suitable candidate, please note due to size, only single applications are possible for live in (no couples or pets)

Family Background
The principle is based in Webridge, and is semi-retired.  He has three grown children, the eldest son has recently moved back into the family home.  The principal has three properties which he actively uses, one in London and one overseas.  He also has a property portfolio which his PA manages on his behalf.  He travels occasionally, but his main home is in Weybridge.  He is a highly discreet and private man, and has three prestigious vehicles which are part of his estate. He has a full time PA, he has a housekeeper who attends the Weybridge property three times a week. He doesn't have any pets. His current houseman has been with him for three years and is leaving at the end of August.  They are keen to find someone who is looking for a long-term role to become a valued member of the household.

Duties

You will be required to take care of the principle, his house, wardrobe, table service, home security and day-to-day hands-on tasks. You will work closely with the principle’s housekeeper and PAs and will build functional relationships with both the principle and other members of staff. 

Report to the Principal and his PA.

Full butler service, training can be given.

You should be highly confident with driving, both in Surrey but in London.  You'll often take the principal to his office, and perform airport runs, and ensure his vehicles are well maintained and up to date in terms of log book etc.

Your daily tasks will include preparing light a breakfast (cutting up fruit and preparing tea), then a light tidy up of the bedroom and bathroom. On the housekeepers non working days you will also light tidy the house.  Being around the principal during his day to day tasks to support him and ensure smooth running of the home. 

The principal has occasional dinner parties and if required you would open the door, greet guests and perform drink service.  You should be flexible and willing to get involved in all aspects of being the right hand man to the principal.

Other duties include polishing shoes, liaising with the PA and dealing with contractors and deliveries.  Light watering of the gardens, light maintenance such as changing light bulbs, and letting the PA know if there are any areas which need other repairs being performed (which external contractors would do).

The ideal candidate should be discrete, good with children, good time management, adapt to last minute changes and have strong communication skills. It is important that you are comfortable using satnav and technology.

Location/Accommodation
The principals home is in Weybridge, Surrey, KT13.  This is either a live out OR live in role.  If you live out you should be able to easily commute and be flexible.

An option for the right person to live in in private room on the ground floor with separate entrance with a shared bathroom to the gym. This would only be offered for the most suitable candidate, please note due to size, only single applications are possible for live in (no couples or pets).

Days/Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 6pm.  With flexibility around this.  If you are asked to work outside of these hours then overtime or time off in lieu would be arranged.

Languages
A good level of English is required.  

Special Skills
You should have a full driving licence and be looking for a long-term role.
