A friendly family based in Hampstead, NW3, London are looking for an experienced housekeeper to join their family staff.

Package Offered
£14 – 20 gross per hour depending on experience
£27,300 - £39,000 gross per year
37.5 hours per week.

Family Background
A European family of five, with three children aged 14, 12 and 8 who live in Hampstead, London in a beautiful four bedroom, four storey house with their much loved dog. This is a large property with a utility room, kitchen, dressing room, cinema room and bathrooms. They have had a housekeeper for many years, who due to personal health has decided to retire. They are now looking for a new, long-term experienced housekeeper to join and become part of their family home.

Duties
Your duties will be to provide the highest level of housekeeping for the family home, from all cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, tidying and laundry. The family want someone who genuinely likes children, is proactive, efficient and hands on, with a can-do attitude. You should be able to hit the ground running and have strong initiative. You should be confident with wardrobe management, and be excellent with fine clothing and be competent with light mending or sending clothes for specialist repair. You should be skilled at ironing, extremely organised and tidy, with a good eye for organisation of the home, cupboards and storage systems. The property has beautiful designer furniture in it, so you should be able to care for this furniture and interiors in the very best way, always ensuring it remains at it’s highest standard. The mother doesn’t work in a secular capacity, but is busy and heavily involved with her children, taking them to after school clubs etc, however you should have initiative to lend a hand and be comfortable taking care of the children and the dog, if required.

The father ensures that he is with his family for all school holidays. During these periods they are often away travelling. The family speak English as their main language, but also speak Danish, Spanish and French. You should also be a competent and confident cook who can plan, shop and cook healthy meals for the family.

Location
The family live in Hampstead, NW3, London. This is a live out role, so you should be able to easily commute and ideally within an easy commute time.

Days/Hours
37.5 hours a week
Monday – Friday
30 hours of the week will be based at the property, with the other 7.5 hours focused on cooking for the family, from your own home which can be stored in the fridge/freezer and brought back the next day.

Languages
You must speak a good level of English.

Special Skills
You do not need to drive, but if you do this would be a bonus for the family. Ideally the family would like the candidate to be fully focused on their job and not take other work, so that there can be flexibility as and when the family might need extra hours or support. It would also be hugely advantageous if you have completely immersed and committed yourself to London living, so that you are aware of the requirements and responsibilities required to be in the London area on a full-time basis.
