Holiday: 28 days holiday per year (5.6 weeks) to include bank holidays

Hours Required: Morning routine (c7am-8am), After School (3pm-8/9pm), Babysit 2 nights per week

Occasional overnight care required

Driver: a driver is preferred but not essential

Accommodation: a spacious bedroom and (almost) exclusive use of a bathroom (there is a guest room next door so guest may use the bathroom when they stay). The configuration of the house gives a degree of exclusion and separation for the Nanny. This is helped by having 2 living rooms although all have freedom to use either. The house has a nice garden and is convenient for the mainline rail station (30 mins to London) and Weybridge High Street.

Summary:

This is a truly lovely position in a single parent family and two older girls. This is a creative, busy household and informal in atmosphere. Their current nanny has been with them for 6 years. They are looking for someone who will be with them for the long term and who is committed to caring for his two growing daughters and adapting to their needs (practical and emotional) as they grow.

Typically, Dad will be in London working most of the week (Mon-Fri) and occasionally abroad for short stays.

Duties will include:

Getting them ready for school

Caring for them when they return

Helping with homework

Helping them with the pressures of being 10 and 14

Providing a balanced diet (breakfast and supper)

Keeping the house tidy

Is flexible in helping the home function smoothly during the week

This role will suit you if you are someone who can empathise with a 14-year-old and a 10-year-old girl. Someone who can provide emotional support as well as scholastic support (homework demands). Someone who can hold firm boundaries. Someone who is fun, engaged and is excited by the prospect. We are looking for someone who is willing to emotionally connect with the two daughters and is motivated by the prospect of them growing through their teenage years.

The role is for a single parent with a demanding job. He welcomes someone to join their home, to be treated with respect and enjoy the informalities of family living.
