Qualified Nannies
Students at Chiltern College study full-time for two years to achieve The Chiltern College Nanny and Childcare Award. This intensive course requires students to complete additional work placements with children and to demonstrate a range of skills over and above the requirement of the Cache Level 3 Diploma.
The training includes a wider range of practical placements, a wide range of professional skills and creative skills for working with children (including swimming with children, singing with children, Makaton training, baby massage and baby yoga) an ability to cook for and with children (this covers nutrition and special diets) and the production of a range of resources for use with children in textiles and wood. First aid, food safety and safeguarding certificated courses are also covered.
We have been working with Chiltern-qualified nannies for over 20 years.
We have access to an extensive list of newly qualified and past Chiltern College trained nannies. Eden Nannies will advise and register all Chiltern trained nannies each year.
Lucie Duffield is a Chiltern College trained nanny. Eden Nannies placed her into her first role. Here’s what she has to say:
“My time at The Chiltern College was a balance of practical and theory including working in the on-site nursery, cooking lessons, first aid courses, current legislation and child psychologists. I am about to start my first job in September and I couldn’t feel more prepared with everything I’ve learnt over the two years at Chiltern.”
Our Own Nanny Graduate Programme
Eden Nannies is delighted to be able to offer clients the opportunity to employ one of our fully verified junior nannies.
Taking on a junior nanny from Eden will give you a fully qualified nanny verified by our consultants for a massive reduction on our standard fee. Please speak to one of our consultants.
You will be offered valuable support and advice during the interview process, and this guidance will continue throughout the placement from our experienced consultant team. Each of the junior nannies is interviewed by our consultants; they will have been verified and given an introduction on what is expected of them by our clients as a nanny in a domestic household. The junior nanny will have an up to date first aid certificate, a CRB enhanced disclosure and a qualification in childcare consisting of: BTEC Certificate in Children’s Care, Learning and Development; NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and
Development; Montessori teaching qualifications; B.Ed. degree in early childhood studies or similar. To become an Eden junior nanny they must have recently qualified and this position will be their first in the childcare industry. Alternatively they may have worked in a nursery, post qualification, for up to two years.
This opportunity provides a positive experience to a young nanny, while benefiting you with their ideas, enthusiasm and energy.
