Live in full time Nanny - Notting Hill W11

A lovely family of four (plus a littledog) based in Notting Hill, London W11 seek a kind, organised and easy-going live-innannyto work full-time, Monday to Friday - 55 hours a week.

Notting Hill is a fabulous place to live and is known for being a cosmopolitan and multicultural neighbourhood, hosting the annual Notting Hill Carnival and Portobello Road Market. You’d get your own double bedroom and shared bathroom (with kids only). You’ll have your own TV.

The family have two lovely children, a boy age 3.5 years old and a girl of 5 months old. They also have a sweet - little dog and so someone who is happy to walk the dog will be required.

You’ll work Monday to Friday 8am - 7pm.

Start date: Tuesday, 2nd July 2019

Salary: between £450-£500 gross per week depending on your experience and qualifications (up to £26,000 gross per year).

Mum works part-time and so you’ll need to be comfortable with her being around at times. She travels for work occasionally and so there may be some proxy parenting required.

You’ll be happy to travel abroad with the family for up to 4 weeks, 2-3 times a year (The family travel to Morocco quite frequently). Weekend travel will also be required (approx 2 times a year). You’ll need to be happy to get along with others and be a great communicator, confident and easy going, someone happy to work alongside other members of staff when abroad.

You will take sole care of the baby whilst the little boy attends nursery, he will start school September 2019. The school is local, 10 minutes walk from home.

You’ll be engaging and encouraging, help the little boy prepare for school, help with his development in a fun and engaging way. Knowledge and experience of child development would be a big bonus.

The family are looking for someone who will keep the children safe, someone who has a genuine passion to work with children. You’ll be physically fit (the nanny’s bedroom is on the top floor of a three story home), organised, kind, patient, positive and smiley, someone who is very engaging with the children in their care, an excellent communicator, honest and transparent and an initiative taker.

You’ll have an excellent level of common sense,a fluent English speaker and ideally someone who is looking for a long-term position.

Duties will include:

Lots of playing, reading and cuddling! feeding the baby (some batch cooking would be fantastic when the baby is sleeping) experience of weaning will be essential, bottle preparation and feeding, changing and playing with the baby will be required. Taking her to local playgroups/activities and the park. You will drop off and pick up the older boy from school. After school, you will do some indoor or outdoor activities with both children. You’ll be good at cooking healthy meals for the children (weaning experience a must) and playing age appropriate activities and games, bath and bedtime.

You will do all child related house duties and some light housework (no deep cleaning will be expected as the family have a cleaner), managing the areas where the children eat, sleep and play, children laundry, ironing, wardrobe management and running small errands for the family (occasional light grocery shopping, post office trip etc).

You need to have at least 3 years childcare experience with children of this age as well as at least two years of solid sole charge nanny experience.

You will be a fluent English speaker and a non-smoker.

You will have a current enhanced DBS certificate and be paediatric first aid trained. You will have excellent checkable references from previous employers.
