We are pleased to see this trend reflected in the increasing number of enquiries from men, so we have listed below the most popular current procedures.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) for Men
After substantial weight loss, many men find their abdominal muscles are weaker and the skin in that area has become looser. An
Losing a significant amount of weight is an incredible achievement, but might leave you with excess skin and fatty tissue around your abdomen. An abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) is a popular procedure for men who would like to remedy this situation.
During a full abdominoplasty, your expert surgeon will remove the excess skin and sculpt the tummy to its natural contours, resulting in a flatter, firmer tummy and a more toned appearance that you’ll be confident to show off. This procedure will require a one- to two-day stay at the clinic.
A mini abdominoplasty (mini tummy tuck) is a similar procedure, although the excess skin and fat of the lower abdomen is removed in a more limited fashion. Your surgeon may also perform liposuction, in order to achieve the best possible results.
Whatever your personal reasons, Abdominoplasty at the Cadogan Clinic will provide some of the top surgeons in the country, using the most advanced techniques and facilities. Our expert team is acutely aware that the appearance of your body can affect your confidence and everyday happiness, and as such we handle each case with sensitivity and discretion. You can rest assured your abdominoplasty, performed at our state-of-the-art, purpose-built, central London clinic, will deliver the results you desire.
Face Lift for Men

The visible signs of facial ageing, such as lines, wrinkles and loose skin, can now be reversed with the help of both non-surgical treatments or (for a more permanent outcome) a surgical facelift.
Facelift surgery is becoming increasingly popular with men who want to maintain their youthful looks, reducing and tightening skin that has lost elasticity over time. This procedure will also tighten the neck and jaw line, to further rejuvenate a tired, ageing appearance.
The treatment involves the skin being lifted slightly and tightened, and your expert surgeon will also manipulate or remove tissue underneath to achieve your desired results. Minimal scarring will occur, but will be discreet and will fade over time. Your surgery will take place under general anaesthetic and you are likely to require a one- or two-night stay in hospital.
On your departure, you will be allocated a follow-up appointment with your surgeon and the Aftercare clinic, to remove any stitches and dressings. As a facelift is one of the more intricate cosmetic surgery procedures, you will require at least two weeks off work and should avoid any strenuous activities for at least eight weeks. Swelling, bruising and tenderness are all common during the first few days after surgery, but these are completely normal and should subside within around ten days. Any discomfort can be eased with painkillers, which your doctor will be happy to prescribe.
Whatever your personal reasons, Facelift at the Cadogan Clinic will provide the leading surgeons in the UK who have access to the most advanced techniques and facilities for your treatment. Our expert team is acutely aware that your appearance can affect your confidence and everyday happiness, and as such we handle each case with sensitivity and discretion. You can rest assured your treatment, performed at our state-of-the-art, purpose-built, central London clinic, will deliver the results you desire.
Liposuction for Men for Men
If you are trying to lose weight and you’re finding those last few pounds hard to shift despite regular gym workouts and dieting, liposuction
Men have distinctly different issues with fatty deposits, which women do not have. Certainly, the basic principles still apply that in general an adult male has a distinct number and distribution of fat cells which changes little. Therefore, the removal of fat cells changes the contour in that area for good and the overlying skin shrinks accordingly. The fat cells are a little more adherent than in women, but the effect can be just as good.
Areas we generally treat are the chin and neck, the breast (gynaecomastia), the abdomen and loins, and sometimes the inner thighs.
The Chin and Neck:
Chin and neck fat is largely hereditary, but with age, these fat cells increase in size and become more of an issue. The actual removal of fat from this area has to be carried out with care to avoid injury to the branches of the facial nerve and to obtain an even result. The simpler can be more precise the technique is, the better as the skin is relatively thin and because of the beard, is not quite as elastic as in a woman.
Skin retraction is therefore slightly less, however, the scarring created under the skin will pull the skin back up into the chin and neck giving a better neckline. In the older patients, one might consider skin excision, as in a standard neck lift or the Cadogan Swan Neck procedure. However, liposuction alone will always be worthwhile.
It should be noted that treatments which simply remove the fat non-surgically or by injection do not have any effect on the skin and therefore it will tend to leave more obvious laxity.
In the older patient, we often combine liposuction with the Cadogan Swan Neck procedure, whereby we tighten the platysma muscle and remove skin discreetly in the mid-line. This may seem a big procedure but it can be carried out very satisfactorily under local anaesthesia.
Liposuction of the male breast (gynaecomastia) is very effective and avoids the common deformities of direct excision. In some cases, we combine this with a direct excision of the firm breast disc immediately behind the nipple which is termed Webster’s Procedure.
Abdomen / Stomach:
The bulging abdomen can be due to fat within the abdominal cavity or fat beneath the skin. It is the fat beneath the skin which we can treat by liposuction. There is often a combination of the two fatty deposits in which case there is a limit to the improvement possible. We often perform an adbominoplasty alongside liposuction for these patients.
The fit patient, looking for a six pack, will find that liposuction removes fat very effectively but will not define muscles to this extent. There are surgeons, who claim to be able to produce a six pack, but this is a somewhat ridiculous idea. Fat is taken out in strips leaving fat in place of muscle. This is often claimed by surgeons, using the ultrasound technique of Vaser, as though it was a special property of Vaser, but in fact, this can be done using any technique. It is just that most would not wish to. Fatty lumps are not toned muscle.
The loins or flanks are another male problem and of course spill out over the waistband. Liposuction is very effective, but remember in an older person the skin may also be loose and still tend to fold.
There is often an annoying pad of fat at the inner thighs which can be easily treated by liposuction.
Liposuction is not used to treat weight loss per say, but there can be occasions, where specific areas are a problem and can be treated, often without much change in weight. For example, the inner thighs might chaff and prevent easy walking and liposuction limited to this area will often cure the problem. Also, there may be a particular embarrassment by rolls of fat around the neck. It should also be noted that there are some patients who find that liposuction gives them a spur to tackle the real problem of a proper diet.
Breast Reduction (Gynaecomastia)
Male Breast Reduction, or Gynaecomastia Correction, is an extremely common procedure for men who wish to remove any excess, stubborn, unwanted chest
Gynaecomastia commonly known as ‘man boobs’ or ‘moobs’ is an extremely common cause of embarrassment to men which can be treated easily and discreetly.
Breast development in men is commonly considered to be a sign of femininity but this is the case in only a minority of patients with hormonal problems or those that are taking oestrogen to treat cancers.
Most teenagers have some breast development at puberty, which is often uncomfortable. For most it regresses spontaneously over a few years but for the remainder, medical treatments are available but where this has failed and for older patients, surgery is indicated and it works well.
Liposuction is the main form of treatment and at the Cadogan Clinic where we have developed and trialled techniques over 35 years. We use techniques which are particularly efficacious at removing not only fat but the fibrous breast tissue. Our preferred techniques are water assisted (BodyJet) liposuction and power assisted liposuction (PAL) using Lipomatic and Microaire. We avoid ultrasound techniques such as Vaser, as it is less effective and has more complications.
Discreet entry points for the laser avoids unnecessary scars and the skin will retract. However, in older patients if the breasts are particularly large and the nipples are low on the chest wall, they will remain so. A very small minority of patients may require a skin lift at a later stage.
Patients that have particularly glandular rather than fatty breasts may need direct excision of the breast disc, usually in combination with liposuction. This subcutaneous mastectomy is called Webster’s procedure. The incision is however, discreet around the edge of the areola.
Cadogan post-operative scar treatments will be used to produce the very best result.

It’s thought that around half of all men will experience some degree of hair loss by the time they reach the age of 50, with some first noticing receding hair in their teens or twenties. Androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness) is the primary cause. This hereditary condition first sees patients lose hair in the crown area, after which the hairline and temples are affected. Stress, illness and medication can also play a part in male baldness, a condition that can seriously affect self-confidence.
The hair transplant surgeons at the Cadogan Clinic are among the most esteemed and highly sought-after specialists in Europe and are experts in FUE (follicular unit extraction). FUE is the process by which hair follicles are extracted from the back of the scalp, then individual grafts are trimmed and transferred to the area of the scalp that is bald or thinning and requires hair. The outline of your new hairline will be noticeable immediately after your FUE treatment and it takes around six to 12 months for the newly transplanted hair to fully re-grow. Results look completely natural, as hair is implanted in the direction that matches your hair growth. You can rest assured your confidence will be restored too.
The great advantage of FUE is that it can be carried out under local anaesthetic and it’s also minimally invasive, so there will be no scarring following your treatment and it also requires little downtime. In fact, you will be able to return to work the next day.
Whatever your personal reasons, Hair Transplants at the Cadogan Clinic will provide the leading UK consultants, techniques and facilities for your treatment.
