A busy family with two children requires a live-out housekeeper/family assistant to support the smooth running of their home and family life

Duties to include:

- Cleaning the house to a good standard and keeping it tidy

- Occasional deep cleaning tasks

- All family laundry, including ironing

- Drop and collect dry cleaning

- Organising routine household tasks, e.g. chimney sweeping, boiler servicing, log deliveries, gutter clearance

- Planning meals for the family during the week

- Cooking meals for the children, and also an evening meal for the adults

- Collecting the children from school/school transport

- Taking the children to clubs, playdates, dentist and medical appointments

- Supervising homework and music practice

- Caring for the children during the school holidays

- Organising the children's school and social diaries, including booking clubs etc where necessary

- Running errands such as school uniform shopping for the children, posting parcels

- Grocery shopping for the family

- Feeding the cat

The successful candidate will enjoy being part of family life and engaging the children on that basis. They should be flexible, and able to be proactive in their work. They must also be animal friendly, as although the pet count is currently just the one cat there may be other pets in the future. The family also rides horses (but does not keep them).
