Part-time Personal Assistant/House Manager – Be the right-hand person for a busy household in South Kensington


£25 a day

Part-time, Permanent

Job Summary:

Our client is looking for a professional and experienced Part-time Private Personal Assistant/House Manager to support them with the organisation and running of their home and personal affairs. The position will begin as a 2 day a week role with the possibility to increase to 3 days a week further down the client. Looking for someone to be available from 09:00 – 17:00 preferably Tuesday and Wednesdays.



The role will be split into two main areas, House Management and Personal Assistance

House Management:

Implementing regular maintenance schedules and reviewing supplier agreements

Sourcing contractors for specialist works and gathering quotes

Supervising contractors when visiting the home

Check all household bills (especially those related to house maintenance) and tariffs

Check subscriptions

Liaise with the 2 Housekeepers re: smooth running of the household

Do weekly Amazon, Ocado orders and other personal shopping

Administration and orders for dog (booking kennel, vet, grooming, ordering food)

Coordinate any deliveries

Run errands (i.e. post office, Rymans, collect an item from a store)

Assist with technology, computer, printer, network, Sonos glitches or source/liaise with specialist to resolve

Confident using spreadsheets to monitor systems such as: Maintenance Matrix, Staff schedules, Inventories, Insurance etc


Personal Assistance:

Organise the cars – parking permits, tax, servicing, insurance, AA etc

Send week ahead reminders for diary dates

Diary management/Book appointments (i.e. medical)

Buy tickets for events

Book and arrange for (dinner) parties

Christmas – organise Christmas cards, tree, turkey, flowers, postage times, presents etc.

Research, book and check travel arrangements

Personal Correspondence


Candidate requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working within a busy private household and comfortable in a flexible and dynamic environment. You will act as an extension of the principal handling all matters relating to their home and personal affairs to relieve them of that stress. You will be highly organised with strong communications skills when not working you will ensure all information is easily accessible to the principals and all has been organised to avoid any confusions. You must be proficient in Word, Excel, (i.e. spreadsheets, doing tables, mail merges, etc…). You must be animal (Particularly dogs) and child friendly (there is a nanny, so you won’t be expected to assist with childcare).
