Guitar/Bass/Music Theory Tuition in South West London

Guitar/Bass/Music Theory tutor based in South West London looking for students.

Available to teach Monday - Thursday, 8am - 8pm.

Rates are £15 for a 30 minute lesson or £25 for an hour lesson.

Able to travel to students' homes to teach, and can also teach from my home in Southfields.

Who am I?

Hello! I’m Chris, and I am a guitarist, bassist and composer with over 15 years experience playing guitar, and over 3 years professional experience gigging with the band ‘The Upsiders’, as well as depping (standing in for) guitar and bass in other bands. I graduated with a BA and Masters degree in Music Composition from Coventry University, in which I composed and performed extensively in a variety of musical styles.

I also have a Pearson Award in Education and Training, and a Grade 5 Theory certificate.

I have existing experience of private tuition, as well as work experience teaching guitar at secondary school level.

Where and When can I teach?

I am based in Southfields, giving me easy access to Wimbledon, Wandsworth, Putney, Fulham and other surrounding areas. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you live further than the above locations - we can work something out!

What can you expect from our lessons?

My primary goal as a tutor is to achieve the student’s own personal goals - whether that is learning to play a certain song, passing a graded exam, preparing to study Music at school or university, improving your skills as an artist and songwriter, or simply improving at a hobby. My role will be looking at your goal, and building a step-by-step path to ensure you reach it, helping you with each step along the way.
