House manager for Kensington (the UK)

House manager is needed for a very big house in Kensington, the UK. The property employs: Chef, Butler, House-keepers, Residential Security & Contracted Services
Role requires the House-Manager to report to the family’s Private Office – and/or the clients directly.
House Manager Duties and Services
Management of Assets and Affairs
The provision of management services to residential properties mainly in the UK;
The provision of management services in respect of vehicles as may be requested by the Company;
The provision of management services to the personal furnishings, effects and the art collection situated at residential properties;
Staff recruitment and management
Providing recommendations for the recruitment and management (either directly or through other staff) of crew and staff responsible for the management and operation of Assets and Affairs.
Providing leadership to the staff responsible for each Asset, to ensure that consistent and high service standards are maintained. Where the standard falls below expectation, provide the leadership necessary to close the gap.
Create and oversee programs for training to keep service skills strong.
Promote regular communication and meetings with the staff at the Assets, to ensure a consistent level of commitment and service.
Inspire a sense of personal ownership and commitment to work.
Maintenance of Assets and Business development
Researching and making recommendations for the acquisition of new Assets as may be requested by the Company;
Operational Budgets - preparation and oversight;
Sourcing contracts for the provision of services and overseeing the supply of outsourced services to the Assets;
Legal compliance – managing relationships involving the residential properties – ensuring that such properties comply with all and any permits, seeking to ensure the maintenance of good relations with neighbours and public authorities;
Maintaining and ensuring the adequacy of inventories and insurance policies;
Work with on site staff and vendors to ensure proper routine care and maintenance is completed, documentation for all structures and equipment at the residential properties is in order, and that annual inspections and audits of inventories, systems and grounds are conducted.
Acting as the personal assistant and/or event manager in a day-to-day support of private issues of the Clients.
Service Objectives:
All Assets should be managed in a way that provides the Clients and their guests with a positive service experience in an environment of employee competence, good morale and well-maintained facilities.
The Specialist will be keenly focused on the Client’s activities in order to ensure a system of service delivery to them that is efficient and timely.
The appointment of the Specialist is one of the key appointments in what is expected to be a process of recruitment and engagement led by the Specialist to develop a “family office” type of organization that is focused on bringing the highest level of service and responsiveness to the Clients by way of professional management of the Assets, both current and future.
Also, the House Manager will be required to perform Main Butler duties, when the Family is on site.
Accommodation is NOT provided, however a room can be provided for the occasions when it is beneficial for the house-manager to be available.
Job Requirements:
In addition to being experienced, with a resume that shows comparable experience and longevity in previous roles, candidates must present excellent checkable references and provide a DBS (or be happy to undergo a background check). Candidates must also understand that flexibility is important along with the ability to change priorities and work-streams without becoming aggrieved!
